Chris and his team are extremley professional , Chris is very polite and honest , gave a very reasonable quote and stuck to the price given. Good communication . Fitted a velux window , on time , very effcient no mess cleaned everywhere . Would recommend with no hesitation .

I’d been putting off the inevitable for a number of years purely based on money and poor experiences with tradesman in the past. However the time had come for me to get some quotes on a new roof for my pride and joy home in Roundhay. I decided that I was going to get 3 quotes and not just decide on who was the cheapest but who seemed the most genuine and likely to give me the best service. The first two quotes were so contradicting, one saying I didn’t need new tiles just a bit of work here and there and I “should be right” for the future. The other said I needed new roof immediately and that he should start tomorrow as he already had the perfect tiles. Incidentally the tiles he showed me he had a trailer full of with him so it was obvious he just wanted rid of them. So, when Chris came round from Barwick Roofing I wasn’t feeling great about the whole experience so far but decided to keep an open mind. Within minutes of Chris being there I got a great feeling about him. He gave me his full attention, listened to me and then when I asked him his opinion, blew me away with his knowledge. He made it crystal clear to me that I did need a whole new roof but there were many options of tile available to me and not all costing an arm and a leg. I had told him I thought I wanted a certain tile and he said what he’d like to do is comeback tomorrow with 4 samples and the costings associated with each one. So, back he came the next day bang and on time with my choice of tile and 3 others. I loved all three that he brought and preferred them to mine! We agreed on Welsh slate which was not the most expensive of the tiles he had brought and the price was better than my other two quotes for lesser quality materials. One thing that Chris mentioned to me which the other two didn’t was the potential health and safety hazards of working on my house as the land around it was at all different levels and therefore the scaffolding would have to be done the right way. He was also very strict on me not leaving the house at random whilst they would be working on it in case of any falling debris which was refreshing to hear. So, Chris started the work 2 weeks later as he had other jobs to complete and he and his team stripped the old roof and finished the new one within the exact time frame Chris said they would. I couldn’t believe how hard they worked and how effiecient they were. I was expecting my property to look like a bomb site but at the end of each day it was absolutely spotless. Since my new roof has been done I have had 2 people from the village knock on my door and ask who did the job and Chris has already completed the same roof for one of them and the other is booked in! So, I decided to write this review because I felt Chris was went above and beyond any tradesman I have ever come across and he was lots of fun to have around always smiling and happy. My roof has come with a guarantee however having been up there with Chris to check on the work I’m confident I won’t be needing it.
